 Description CNA's assist nurses in general care and well being of residents; positions, transfers, moves and lifts residents; will feed and bathe residents as well as respond to their general needs. 

Olde Knox Commons is looking for PRN (per requested need) CNAs.  The PRN CNA is an employee who works on an as needed basis or an on call basis.
 Requirements
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Must have a caring attitude with the ability to work well with physicians, nurses, residents, administration, and the general public.
  • Must be able to offer six (6) to eight (8) shifts every month.
  • Must be able to offer two (2) days a week and one (1) weekend a month to be On Call. 
  • Perform all assigned duties in accordance with established policies and procedures, nursing policies and procedures, and safety rules and regulations.
  • Assist residents with trays and feeding residents
  • Assist residents with dental and mouth care.
  • Bathe residents as assigned each shift.
  • Make beds, clean bedside tables, clean bedrails, etc.
  • Assist in therapy treatment as instructed.
  • Check residents every two (2) hours.
  • Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as directed.
  • Answer resident call bells promptly.
  • Chart required information as instructed.
  • Assist others in heavy lifting with the use of proper equipment.
