Responsibilities
- Provide development telemetry tool and game feature QA support
- Exhibit a strong knowledge of telemetry databases and data processing systems across a variety of game products
- Verification of telemetry hooks being properly triggered and recorded as raw data through manipulation of the game
- Verification of correct data conversion from raw data to the database primarily by writing or reviewing SQL queries
- Verification of displayed data through comparison of reported data to database records
- Provide analysis of data models
- Written and verbal communication of defect information
- Defect tracking within proper pipelines
- Investigate and pinpoint which telemetry phase or game feature introduced a defect
- Partner with game project QA team to coordinate testing of in-game telemetry hooks Work closely with production and development members
- Assist with prioritizing bug fixing efforts and analyzing risk to current systems
- Assist with effort to refine telemetry processes and improve overall product support design
- Defect database management
- Ensure that defect entries follow proper database flow and are kept up-to-date
- Test case database management
- Create new test cases for scripted verification and scripted failure telemetry tests
- Revise existing test cases when software changes are made
- Provide feedback on the effectiveness/efficiency of team processes
