Business Systems Analyst

The position is responsible for working with business systems users to identify and analyze their functional requirements and implement software solutions to meet those needs. This will include expanding the use of systems already in use, and participating in project teams to implement new solutions. A candidate should have experience implementing business systems projects using a standard implementation methodology with a focus on delivering solutions to our customers on time and on budget.

Responsibilities:

• Works closely with key customers to identify opportunities to improve and expand the use of business systems

• Participate as a project team member on major systems initiatives, where your role would include system configuration, business & systems process analysis, develop of functional specifications, all levels of systems testing and implementation

• Conducts business and systems process analysis

• Works with Technical Services and Software Development to provide total solutions to our customers

• Assist with development of ongoing strategy for data management and reporting across any functional area

• Financial planning and reporting

• Product Data Management

• Manufacturing planning, scheduling, MRP/DRP, purchasing & work order operations

• Manufacturing Execution & Bar Code Systems

• Distribution, forecasting, order management

Qualifications:

• At least three - five years of systems experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment either as a systems analyst or a programmer

• Strong knowledge of the principles of structured software development and implementation methodologies

• An understanding of database principles required

• Experience with QAD MFG/PRO ERP application suite and the Progress database and application development environments preferred. Eagle RF Express Bar Code System experience preferred

• Experience with JDA Manugistics application suite preferred

• Experience with SQL preferred

• Experience with Visual Basic 6, Visual Basic .NET, ASP .NET, Crystal Reports, Kinaxis WebPlan & MES (Wonderware)

• APICS certification preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or related field

• Spanish Language communication a plus

This is a 2 - 3 month contract opportunity with one of our clients in Charlotte, NC. Client needs someone to help out while the fulltime systems analyst is overloaded so will probably not extend.
