As a Front-end Web Developer with CapTech, you will work in a collaborative, delivery team environment in which knowledge is shared within and between teams. You will provide technical mentoring and leadership as you proceed through the application development lifecycle.
CapTech Front-End Web Developers are experts at building responsive and professional web solutions using a variety of technologies, such as HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery. Our front-end developers and other members of CapTech’s Systems Integration practice work hand-in-hand with our clients, guiding them toward successful web projects.
CapTech is looking for front-end development experts who can help our clients maximize the value of their web properties by building accessible, high-performance web applications using the latest web standards. As a Front-End Web Developer with CapTech, you must possess superb communication and presentation skills as well as strong technical documentation skills. Our ideal Front-End Web Developer is a thought leader who is open to new ideas, has a desire to learn new concepts and is willing to collaborate with others on projects. You must also be able to present technical ideas and high-level concepts and solutions to internal and external teams who may not have IT backgrounds.
Additional requirements for the Front-End Web Developer include:
- Experience with front-end processing/functionality with restful services (e.q. JSON, XML)
- Familiarity with CSS pre-processors (Less, SCSS/SASS, Compass)
- Understanding of front-end development best practices (accessibility, 508/WCAG compliance, performance optimization, SEO)
- Understanding of front-end performance testing and optimization techniques
- Experience in integrating UI technologies with dynamic web frameworks (PHP, JSP, .NET, Rails )
- Ability to convert Photoshop mockups to valid cross-browser web
- Familiarity with modern source control systems (Git, SVN, TFS, etc)
