Job Description 

Occupational Therapist - Pediatrics

 

residential living facility located in the suburbs of Philadelphia that houses both children and adults with mental retardation is adding another Occupational Therapist to their team.  The facility is on 99 acres of beautiful grounds which includes a school, athletic fields, pools, cottages, and many other facilities for the residents.  The organization allows adults and children to learn and grow in a home-like setting with similar peers to do activities with.  They are looking for a full-time Occupational Therapist interested in working primarily in the school with the residents ages six to 21 years old.  Along with mental retardation, many of the children also have another disorder – autism, cerebral palsy, etc.  This is a year round position working regular business hours, Monday through Friday.  The therapists work within a multidisciplinary team of Speech Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists.  The organization offers fantastic benefits and plenty of paid time off.  They also encourage and finance their therapists to become certified teachers.
