RN Surgery Manager Operating Room

Description Rochelle Community Hospital, a critical access hospital, is seeking an energetic Sugery Manager to join our team in our State-of-the-Art Facility.

A Registered Professional Nurse accountable for the coordination and delivery of quality patient care, based on age and service line.  Provides personnel supervision, continuously monitors the quality of care provided.  Assists in program development and strategic planning.  Monitors departmental budgets for Surgery, Ambulatory Surgery and PACU. Encourages a positive work environment and communicates effectively with patients, staff and physicians.

Assures departments’ compliance with state, federal, and regulatory mandates (i.e. JCAHO, IDPH, and Illinois Nurse Practice Act).

Develops, implements, and evaluates a performance improvement program in order to continually monitor and improve patient care.

Communicates with the physicians regularly to get their input, feedback, and support and clarify information related to meeting patient needs or standards of care.

Actively participates in appropriate meetings, committees, and task forces.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification

• Registered Nurse with current Illinois license

• Current CPR certificationACLS & PALS certification required

Education/Experience

• BSN, Master's degree preferred
• 3 – 5 years of clinical experience in Surgical Services.
• 3 – 5 years supervisory experience preferred
