Mechanical Engineer/Certified Energy Manager
A leader in the design of energy efficient building systems in the DC Metro Area, is in search of a Mechanical Engineer; specializing in the commissioning of Green and LEED buildings. The ideal candidate will be a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.), LEED AP, Certified Energy Manager (CEM). This candidate should also possess strong project management skills and excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to work as part of a team. The position will involve leading a team of professionals and interfacing with clients throughout the entire project cycle.

Senior HVAC Engineer
The ideal candidate will have proven engineering ability, management skills, client liaison experience and a strong interest in career growth. You will perform feasibility studies and condition surveys, create detailed designs and provide technical assistance during the design and construction of projects ranging from high rise commercial properties to hospitals, theater complexes, schools, colleges, transportation facilities and historic renovation projects.
Minimum requirements:
- B.S. Mechanical Engineering or M.S. in any building-related field (preferably engineering or energy management)
- At least 5 years experience in HVAC engineering, preferably with commercial/institutional buildings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience providing technical direction and supervising personnel
- Initiative and ability to work unsupervised
Additional preferred attributes:
- PE
- Experience with LEED requirements
- Knowledge of NYC and NYS building and energy codes
