Sr Specialist- RAN Engineer

Performs a variety of duties as a senior individual contributor engineer with strong technical skills. Works independently with little direction on complex system performance, RF design, transmission, equipment, and/or traffic engineering activities. Designs, tests, measures and/or evaluates wireless system and/or equipment to achieve optimal performance. Provides a high level of technical guidance and leadership. May supervise a group of several project teams. Recommends, develops, and implements complex changes and additions to system. Develops documentation.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
1. Bachelors of Science or Masters Degree and 3-5 years wireless experience.
2. In depth technical knowledge of UMTS and GSM with emphasis on Wireless Optimization, Traffic Engineering and RF Network Design.
3. Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
4. Must have a valid Illinois driver's license.
Desired Skills
1. Ericsson UMTS and GSM Infrastructure experience.
2. Experience with Wireless tools such as COPS, MapInfo, Business Objects, SQL, X-Tel, OptPCS, Optimi AFP, TEMS and Atoll propagation modeling.
3. Demonstrated good computer and presentation skills using MS Office products.
4. Demonstrated interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills.
