This exciting opportunity will help shape and advance the Risk and Compliance management function for the Branch Distribution organization.This Manager-level role will partner within and across the Branch Distribution team to ensure timely, effective and sustainable mitigation of risks.The role is part of the Branch Operations team and requires an individual with exceptional project management, organization and communication skills to effectively interact with Audit and Branch Distribution Management.
The environment is fast-paced, with work that is critical to successful risk management and compliance with laws and regulations in both our Branches and our Branch support functions. The role requires a well-rounded individual, with the ability to provide thought leadership, develop and manage a project plan to deliver our audit commitments, effectively communicate with Audit as well as within and across the Branch Distribution organization on progress, roadblocks and needed support to ensure overall solutions are achieved.This individual should have a proven track record of strong project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the work.In addition, very strong communication and partnership skills are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders to manage, inform and influence outcomes.In return, the role offers growth potential and the ability to learn about and influence the dynamic business of the Bank.
Key Responsibilities include:
1) Manage relationship and act as single interface with Audit, addressing requests during reviews, coordinating management responses and ensuring overall needs are met
2)Program / project manage delivery of our commitments, including mapping out commitments and upcoming exams, detailing the plan and accountable individuals for execution and tracking progress
3)Partner with leaders across Branch Distribution to support delivery
4)Deliver reporting to ensure awareness of progress and enable escalation if appropriate
5)Ensure partnerships are forged where appropriate to enable delivery of commitments
NOTE: Some travel will be required. Level of travel dependent on location
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree
2 years of experience supporting risk management, audit, compliance or project management related activities
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA / Masters degree
1 year Management experience
1 year of retail banking experience
Risk Management Certification
Experience in strategic consulting, analysis and/or executive-level reporting
Demonstrated ability to work independently in an unstructured / fast-paced environment
