Under general supervision, provides clinically competent professional nursing care in accordance with the multidisciplinary plan of care and physician orders. Meets and exceeds all performance expectations for Registered Nurse. Functions as an expert clinical educator, consultant, and researcher for the health care team, patients, and family members of Critical Care Service. Delivers and facilitates high quality care for normal and high-risk patients. The Program Manager of Clinical Education is prepared academically in an advanced educational setting focusing on adult learning theories, advanced theoretical education for population(s) served and clinical decision support.

• Current California Registered Nurse License

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Provider Course

• Current Advanced Life Support or obtained within 60 days of employment/transfer into role

• Evidence of advanced educational preparation at the Master’s level and up; those not prepared at advanced level must seek application and commence education within 6 months of employment in role as a condition of continued employment.

• Three years of full-time experience in a clinical setting

• Ability to learn and utilize computerized patient care management system

• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Must read, write and verbally communicate in the English language

• Experience in management of projects and adult learners to include curriculum development, evaluation of personnel, and interpretation and utilization of evidence based medicine theories
