Job Description:
EG&G Technical Services, a division of URS Corporation, provides institutional services for NASA at Kennedy Space Center, FL. EG&G is actively seeking a Civil Systems Engineer to support our KSC Operations. Responsibilities will include:
  • Establish technical/procedural guidelines and provide professional guidance, direction and oversight for production of systems related engineering products/services/documentation.
  • Manage assigned systems to ensure optimal system life, performance and availability.
  • Provide long range system planning along with developing programs for systems upgrade, replacement, and improved reliability/availability.
  • Ensure system operations and maintenance is in accordance to system requirements and life-cycle expectations.
  • Provide accurate and timely resolution of anomalies.
  • Periodically evaluate performance and condition of assigned systems.Our success depends on attracting the best talent.
     


  • Job Requirements 

    Minimum Requirements:
    BS in Civil Engineering with ten (10) years minimum work experience, MS degree in Civil Engineering with eight (8) years work experience or Ph.D in Civil Engineering with six (6) years minimum work experience. NASA experience desired. An active Florida PE license in engineering is preferred. Must have knowledge and experience with design/analysis tools and relevant design codes. Candidates must have extensive system experience in one or more of the following sustaining, operations and systems engineering areas: structures, bridges, corrosion control, water treatment, storm runoff, roads/grounds, landfills, pits, ponds, and sound suppression. Candidate must have demonstrated leadership experience desired in work planning, scheduling, task management, team building, resolving personnel issues, conducting performance evaluations, developing engineering staff, process development/restricting, and problem solving.Must have good communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. Must have a valid driver's license. Position may require travel. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. No relocation offered.
