Bridges of America offers a number of services including, but not limited to, drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation, Transitional Living and Work Release.

COUNSELOR - ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Partial List):
1. Ensure that all applicable policies and procedures that fall within the scope of this job description are followed and adhered to.
2. Assist Supervisor with probationary, quarterly and yearly evaluations of counselors.
3. Coordinate program staffs work schedules per the Company policy.
4. Assists the Supervisor in supervising all programs as stated in The Company program manuals, the Company Policy and the Company Contract.
5. Maintain a counseling load if needed.
6. Maintain clinical records per the Company Policy and the F.A.C. 65D-30.
7. Attend monthly Department Head meeting with Facility Director.
8. Assist Supervisor with the weekly clinical staff meeting per the Company Policy.
9. Take necessary courses to maintain certification per the F.A.C. 65D-30 on an annual basis.
10. Be available to work all shifts to ensure proper coverage per contract and policy standards.
11. Ability to act as the Assistant Clinical Facility Director in any Transition and Work Release Centers when assigned.
12. Ability to be assigned to different sites as needed.
13. Execute program standards per The Company contract at all Transition and Work Release Centers.
14. Ability to provide services per The Company contract and Company policy to inmates as assigned.
COUNSELOR IN TRAINING - ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Partial List):
1. One-hour counseling sessions monthly with each client on your caseload.
2. A maximum of fifteen (15) clients on caseload for a minimum of one (1) year.
3. Develop individual service plans with original caseload with direct supervision of the Assistant Clinical Facility Director or a qualified supervisor.
4. Meet with the Assistant Clinical Facility Director for a minimum of two (2) hours weekly for training/review of treatment plans and review of individual sessions.
5. Meet with the Assistant Clinical Facility Director to review weekly progress notes and other client related contacts, i.e., aftercare plans and discharge summaries.
6. Attend all required staff meetings.
7. Must have a minimum of CAS within one (1) year of employment (at least pass the written test by FCB) or an A.A. or A.S. Degree.
8. Be available to work all shifts to ensure proper coverage per contract and policy standards.
Requirements
Counselors must meet ONE of the following standards:
· High school diploma or GED & 6 years chemical addictions or mental health experience
· Associates degree & 4 years addictions or mental health experience
· Bachelors degree & 2 years addictions or mental health experience
· Masters degree & 1 year addictions or mental health experience
· PhD & 6 months addictions or mental health experience
· CAP, CCJAP, CAS, CAC or CCJAAP certification
All education and counseling experience will be subject to verification. Counseling experience should include chemical addictions and/or mental health, treatment planning, individual and/or group counseling. Note: Case Management or Internships do not count towards experience.
COUNSELOR IN TRAINING Staff must meet ONE of the following standards:
- High School diploma or GED and minimum 2 years counseling or chemical addictions experience
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in unrelated area of study and 1 year in counseling or chemical addictions experience
- Bachelor's degree in any Social Sciences and 6 months in counseling or chemical addictions experience
