Direct Care Training Specialist

The Residential Supported Living Programs provided by Holdsworth,Inc.  services individuals with Mental Disabilities / Mental Retardation. 

***Direct Care Training Specialists will be servicing Henderson and Carson City areas.***

We are looking for Direct Care Training Specialist / Residential Training Specialist to join our team!  This is an entry-level position or for someone with experience in Direct Care. We are looking for people with the desire to help others and to impact the lives of the individuals we serve.

The primary job function of the Residential Training Specialist / Direct Care Training Specialist is to:

• Support individuals in their home in accordance with the mission of Holdsworth, Inc.
• Supervise the individuals in their home and in the community
• Support the individuals in completing all activities of daily living
• Ensure the individuals needs are met
• Assist the individuals to problem solve
• Coordinate support for individuals i.e., transportation, counseling, medical appointments, monitor health of the individuals and report to Health Care Consultant and/or Residential Support Manager as outlined in agency policies and procedures.

Job Requirements for the Direct Care Training Specialist / Residential Training Specialist:

• High School education or equivalent
• Ability to read and write in English
• Negative 2 part PPD
• CPR and First Aid
• Criminal background check with no convictions
• Pre-employment drug test
• Valid, unrestricted Nevada driver's license
• Clean DMV record
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, coworker's, and administration
• Ability to self initiate responsibilities

Shifts:

• Afternoon and Evening Hours to Accommodate Individuals Served – 1:30 PM – 9:30 PM
• Continuous / Overlap Shifts – 5:30 AM – 9:30 AM
• Overnight Sleep and Awake Shifts – 9:30 PM – 5:30 AM
• Weekend Shifts to Accommodate Individuals Served who are Home on the Weekends

Pay:

• $8.50 Starting
• Probationary raise after a 90 day period - $8.75
