Job Description 
Business Office Manager

 

 

 

We are looking for a Business Office Manager for our New Jersey office in Cranford to develop and implement systems and procedures that will promote and support an effective, efficient, compliant administrative and clinical records department. The following are the core job duties:

 

  •  Direct and hold accountable the clinical records and administrative staffs. Insuring that daily operations and practice related to documentation conforms to state and federal requirements.
  • Oversees the reception, intake and scheduling departments, assisting with departmental functions as required.
  • Manages the coordination between the clinical records and billing departments, insuring that all requisite documentation is completed prior to billing.
  • Responsible for overseeing AP, payroll, contracted labor and contract management in the New Jersey office.
  • Reviews and analyzes payroll reports, developing initiatives to manage overtime and contracted labor costs.
  • Identifies need for change in area of responsibility.
  • Anticipates potential problems, evaluates and develops solutions for consideration by the Administrator.
  • Presents innovative ideas for enhancement of work flow.
  • Provides education and training to insure the effective functioning of the clinical records, scheduling and administrative staff.
  • Provides leadership in complying with regulations related to hospice services and participate in improving corporate compliance.
  • Assists in establishing performance expectations, assessing employee performance, giving feedback and conducting timely performance appraisals.
  • Arranges coverage for essential functions in the absence of staff.
  • Participates in appraisal of agency's total program annually.
 
Job Requirements  

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, accounting or related field desired. Will consider commensurate experience.
  • Two to three years of management experience is required.
  • Management in a Healthcare industry or Service industry is a plus.
  • Computer and software skills, analytical skills and people skills required.
