Description The KMSF Customer Service Representative responds to inquiries from patients, attorneys, physicians and insurance companies, and performs any necessary follow-up work listed below:
 
  • Review itemized statements for accuracy

  • Patient correspondence

  • Third party billing
  • Make payment arrangements
  • Perform various types of error corrections on patient accounts
  • Explain financial assistance program options
  • Investigate missing payments to see if misapplied
  • Handle patient complaints
  • Provider enrollment issues
  • UCR adjustments
Requirements

 

  • Knowledge of Signature billing system preferred
  • Self motivated
  • Able to communicate well both orally and written
  • Pleasant personality and phone voice
  • Proficient knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement procedures
  • Basic computer skills
