Epic Manager

Epic RN

 

Columbus, Ohio

6 Month, Contract-to-Hire

M-F, 8am-5pm, w/ some on-call duties

Interview 11/13/09 3pm

 

Summary:

 

Brooksource is searching for a RN with an EMR background.  It is preferred that this individual have experience with Epic, specifically Epic documentation, CPOE and Beacon.   Our Client is a reputable and large hospital located in Columbus, Ohio.   This person will be sitting within the Information Services Department.

 

This manager will be responsible for the development and/or acquisition, implementation, and support of information systems as assigned.   Staff management and growth are also important functions of this opportunity.

 

This individual will have an in-depth knowledge of hospital operations (preferably in a pediatric medical center), and s/he should be experienced in the implementation lifecycle of an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system (preferably Epic).  Our Client is currently implementing Epic and this person will be the primary contact for the clinical users and will coordinate projects and communications to all stakeholders.   There will be communication and collaboration w/ project leaders, clinicians, information services staff, medical informatics and vendors.  This person must serve as a positive role model for encouraging others to embrace operational changes associated w/ the EMR implementation and other application technology projects.

 


Job Requirements 

Must Haves:

·         RN Degree, Licensure (Master’s preferred)

·         5+ years managing clinical or information services staff

·         Candidate whom has been through an implementation lifecycle of an EMR system (preferably Epic)

·         Understanding of health care industry service delivery processes

·         Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

 

Nice to Have:

·         Experience w/ CPOE, Beacon, Epic documentation

·         Understanding of Pediatric health care industry service delivery processes
