Job Description

We are actively recruiting for a Human Resource Manager for our Ohio Plan!

 

Position Summary

 

  • Manage statewide human resources functions to approximately 300 staff members to include employee relations, benefits administration, employment & recruitment, compensation, training, compliance, safety, communications and administration/operations.   Advise management and staff on hiring, disciplinary process, legal issues, termination, and all other employee relations issues to assure legal compliance, equity and fairness to employees, and management effectiveness.  Participate in senior leadership team meetings. 

 

  • Work collaboratively with the Corporate Human Resources Department in the development and implementation of enterprise wide Human Resource projects and programs. 

 

  • Ensure external compliance with Federal and State workplace laws and regulations.  Ensure internal compliance with Human Resources policies, procedures, and guidelines. 

 

  • Coordinate workplace activities to include coordination of all employee meetings.

 

  • Develop and manage departmental budget.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or other related field

 

Licensure/Certifications:

PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certification is preferred

 

Experience:

5-plus years progressive human resources experience

1-plus years experience supervising/managing employees

HRIS experience; preferably LAWSON

Timekeeping management systems; preferably Kronos

Working knowledge of MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

 

Additional Skills and Knowledge:

Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility to changes and response to new ideas and approaches

Ability to communicate effectively, advise and counsel, and to influence management and staff on appropriate behaviors and actions in HR issues

Excellent customer relations skills

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Able to maintain highly confidential information
