Job Description

The District Manager ensures that all Cardio Express clubs achieve financial success, provide the industry’s best member experience, and exhibit a team driven environment.  The District Manager represents the vision of Cardio Express to staff, members, and to the community.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manages sales, revenue, and the overall financial success of each club

  • Monitors progress of club goals and provides guidance to ensure that they are achieved

  • Provides leadership and accountability for all team members within each club

  • Recruits, hires, trains, and develops a high performance team of Club Managers and   other key positions that delivers on company goals and reflects its values

  • Fully understands and is able to train all team members on all policies and procedures related to membership sales, front desk operations, club operations, and member services

  • Develop and implement team member performance evaluations and improvement plans

  • Communicate, execute, and manage marketing programs to meet specific monthly sales goals
  •  Manages and attends mid-month and end-of-month closeout events and other related events including referral programs, guerilla marketing, health fairs, strategic partnering, and sales contests

  • Sets operational goals and priorities for Club Managers with consistent accountability
  •  Monitor and observe club facilities to ensure adherence to company programs and policies

  • Assist Club Managers in the resolution of difficult member concerns to provide an optimal outcome

  • Communicate, lead by example, and motivate Club Managers to understand and implement a club culture that reflects the company image, values, and strategy

  • Be visible within all clubs and set the example for providing member and team member satisfaction

  • Performs all responsibilities of a Club Manager when required

Requirements

Credentials and Experience

  • Prior fitness management experience required – minimum of two years supervising 5 – 10 employees

  • Consultative sales experience required

  • Multi-unit management experience preferred
  •  

    Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in exercise science or related field

  • Certification in fitness instruction or personal training preferred


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must have a passion for fitness with a commitment to personal fitness goals

  • Proven track record of success in fitness, retail, customer service, hospitality management

  • Effective and dynamic leadership skills

  • Customer service, staff development, problem solving, communication, and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in recruiting, training, sales generation, and operations

  • Results oriented professional with a positive attitude and a commitment to quality

  • Able to work during club peak hours which may include mornings, evenings, and weekends

 

Work Environment

  • Work is typically performed in a club environment

  • Must have ability to travel by car to all locations

  • Extended workdays are a frequent occurrence, as are weekends, and holidays as needed to support the business

  • Reports directly to the Principle
