Job Description 


Growing manufacturing company seeks results driven Continuous Improvement Manager.  This individual will be responsible for directing all cost savings activities across two facilities. The position requires exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record in cost savings coupled with the ability to work and communicate at all levels of the management structure. 

 





 

Job Requirements 

Required Qualifications:

·         MUST HAVE INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING DEGREE.  YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED WITH OUT IT!

      INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER MUST CURRENTLY UTILIZE CONVENTIONAL METHODS OF COST SAVINGS AND PROCESS IMPROVEMENT.  LEAN EXPERTS AND SIX SIGMA PROFESSIONALS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.

·        Design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination.

·        Minimum of 5 years of management of a Cost reduction program

·        Experience in a high volume continuous process enviornment.

·        Experience with Capital, and Plant layout projects

·        Proven examples of cost savings achievements.

·        Able to manage engineering staff

·        Able to maintain integrity cost savings program and continue efforts beyond current       projects effectively.

·        Ability to work with Sr. level managers, influence and lead cost savings programs throughout the organization.

·        Detailed reporting experience, able to make high level presentations and superior organizational skills and maintain detailed and thorough records of all cost savings activities.


Highly Desirable Qualifications:

·        LEAN and/or Six Sigma, value stream mapping, and Kaizen training would be a definite     plus

·        AutoCAD

·        Automation, time studies, computer skills, experience.

·        Able to identify cost savings in direct labor, overhead, equipment, and plant activities.

·        Solid background in manufacturing principles, including process, information flow, and material flow

·        Excellent leadership skills in cross-functional, team-based environment; ability to effectively communicate, influence and motivate
