Job Description

 

My client, a manufacturer, located in Western Michigan is seeking an experienced Accountant who is passionate about analyzing numbers and driving business results.

 

Responsibilities:

- Maintains accurate and timely budgets projections

- Prepares end of period financial reporting

- Drives improvement and operations processes

- Creates internal cost metrics and standards

- Reviews and maintain cost accounting processes

- Prepares journal entries, financial statements, budgets, and audit reports in accordance with General Accounting Practices (GAPs)

- Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions related to inventory

 

 



Job Requirements

- BS Accounting, MBA or CPA preferred

- 2-5 years of Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

- Sound knowledge of General Accounting Practices (GAPs)

- Sound knowledge of accounting tools and systems

- Ability to create cost metrics and standards
