Organization Objective/Purpose:
Stock Plan Services (SPS) is a highly specialized business unit
within Schwab Investor Development which works with corporations and
their employees to answer questions and facilitate transactions
within their equity compensation plans. Plans include employee
stock options, restricted stock units & awards, stock appreciation
rights, and employee stock purchase plans.
Brief Description of Role:
The Stock Plan Services Trading Manager manages a team of individuals
who provide a consultative service for our equity compensation plan
participants on the Schwab Brokerage Platform. Reinforcing and
promoting our relationship service model as a framework, this role
helps to serve Schwab's greater purpose to help our participants
become financially fit and create loyal client relationships.
Managing an inbound team of financial services professionals, this
position requires a unique blend of strong leadership and
interpersonal skills, industry knowledge and the ability to research
complex issues with internal partners and respond to participants
with regard to escalated issues. Effective organizational and
prioritization skills are a must. Business analytical skills are a
plus along with the ability to effectively communicate with Senior
Leadership. In addition, a person in this role must possess the
ability to assess risk and minimize Schwab's exposure or liability
regarding participant and client issues.
Technical/Functional Qualifications:
Series 7, 66, 9, & 10 licenses are required
5+ years of people leadership experience in a customer service
focused financial services call center is required including
demonstrated experience mentoring and coaching employees to achieve
and exceed performance standards
5+ years in qualified retirement plans and/or brokerage environment
is preferred
Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
The ability to embrace change and innovate
Strong team orientation
Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and
handle multiple competing priorities within the established deadlines
