Job Description
The Shaw Group provides premier engineering, design, construction, and maintenance services to government and private-sector clients in a wide array of industries, including the energy, environmental, infrastructure, and emergency response markets.
Summary:
Performs a variety of engineering work in the initial planning and design phases of projects.
Provides technical support to aviation and ground fueling projects for the DOD under existing Army, Navy and Air Force contracts.
Independently evaluates, selects and uses standards, techniques, procedures and criteria for technical projects.
Performs other duties as required.
Responsibilities:
Perform detailed technical analysis of complex project issues.
Will be responsible for development of project specifications, preparation of project drawings and scope of work documents and completion of construction inspection.
Monitor applicable regulatory requirements.
Establish scope, schedules and cost controls consistent with client objectives.
Manage mid-sized technical projects and serve as the technical manager on projects.
Work activities include collection and interpretation of engineering data, development of specifications, and performance of detailed engineering.
Position will require non-routine travel within the United States and overseas to various facilities.
Qualifications/Competencies/Experience:
Must have a Bachelor�s Degree in either Civil, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
Develops competence in own area by performing routine work.
Has basic knowledge of theories, practices and procedures in a discipline or skill.
Applies knowledge and skills to complete own work.
Organizes own work to meet deadlines set by others.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
