Training Manager

This position is responsible for coordinating, delivering and assessing training programs that meet the operational initiatives identified by the Divisional Vice-President for School staff members and Field Management. The Training Manager will assist with training development compatible with Company initiatives and as determined by Training Department specifications. This position will identify external training resources that meet the requirements of local and state licensing agencies for School staff members and Field Management in the Division
Responsibilities:
- Conduct group training sessions.
- Execute company training programs as assigned.
- Provide initial training and on-going training support for Assistant Directors as it relates to their school training responsibilities.
- Maintain attendance records and evaluations for all training programs delivered.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training.
- Assist with the facilitation of organization development activities.
- Assist with the design, review and testing of training materials.
- Provide support for employees pursuing CDA and/or CCP certification.
- Possess knowledge of NAEYC and NECPA requirements in order to serve as a resource for schools pursuing accreditation.
- Identify external training opportunities in the assigned training geography.
- Provide the training programs required by licensing agencies or arrange for external training resources to meet these requirements.
- Possess thorough knowledge and understanding of all operations-related tasks.
- Submit proposals and deliver presentations at local, state, regional and national conferences that are compatible with company initiatives.
- Bachelors degree in Education, English, Communication, Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Two years experience involving the delivery of training presentations for adult learners and public speaking.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
- Enthusiastic, energetic individual.
- Team player who can work closely with peers and effectively across organizational levels.
- Self-starter, who can work independently without close supervision.
- Credible speaking presence; ability to keep the audience focused.
- PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
- 50% Travel required primarily within assigned geography.
Preferred:
- Two-three years experience in Early Childhood Education with a minimum of two years as an on-site Director or in a multi-unit ECE management position or a management position in a service-related industry.
% of Travel Required : 50-60%
