PSH - Visual Designer
The Public Sector Healthcare group at CGI Federal is looking for a Visual Designer to join our project team. Individual must be highly collaborative and have ability that spans all areas of the design process. The candidate will be responsible for contributing to:
User needs analysis
Information architecture and interaction design of Website pages
Iterative prototyping of Website pages
Management of client feedback
Facilitation of usability testing and review of usability testing results to refine design concepts
Teaching and mentoring usability best practices and user-centered design methods within the project team.
Creation of design related documentation (style guides, etc.)
Required skills include:
4+ years experience with Website visual design, interaction design, and user experience
Fluency with core graphic design principles (typography, form, color, composition, imagery, card sorting, etc.)
Experience designing Section 508 compliant Websites
Experience with design of Web 2.0 applications
Expert in the use of tools such Adobe Creative Suite, FLASH/FLEX, or other widely accepted design tools.
Ability to carry forward the design for a website or web-based application through wireframes, interaction design, visual experience, and the realization of that design through HTML/CSS and innovative use of interactive technologies: Flash, Silverlight, CSS/JavaScript
Experience on rapid and iternative design and development processes
Experience working with Content Management Systems a plus
