 Description Great Opportunity for a Human Resources Manager  (posted May 17, 2013) in Redwood Valley, California.  Gaming Hospitality Executive has been retained to assist a company identify a candidate with experience in managing and directing the daily operations of staffing and recruitment, employee relations.

Job description for the position of  Human Resources Manager is as follows:

  • Directs and coordinates Human Resources activities, such as employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, select areas of training. 
  • Analyzes wage and salary reports and data to recommend competitive compensation plans.    
  • Prepares personnel forecast to project staffing needs. 
  • Creates and communicates with all levels of management and supervisors regarding company policies and procedures.
  • Consults with corporate offices and appropriate legal council to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law.
  • Develops and maintains a human resources system that meets top management information needs.
  • Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.
  • Studies legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends. 
  • Writes and delivers presentations to corporate officers or government officials regarding Human Resources policies and practices. 
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


 
 





 RequirementsThe following qualifications are required for the Human Resources Manager  position:

  1. Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources or Business Administration from an accredited institution.
  2. PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
  3. Minimum of 5 years direct experience managing multiple HR functions such as Training and Development, Employee Relations, Staffing and Recruitment and Benefits in a casino environment preferred.
  4. Previous experience conducting employee investigations and completing investigative summaries required.
  5. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in oral and written form required
  6. Previous experience leading and managing a group of employees in a professional setting required
