Director, Web Marketing

The Princeton Review’s free website, www.PrincetonReview.com, provides college bound students and their parents with the resources to research, apply to, prepare for, and learn how to pay for their higher education. The Princeton Review also authors more than 200 print and software titles on test preparation, college and graduate school selection and admissions, and related topics.
The Supplemental Educational Services Division (SES) partners with school districts to provide after school tutoring programs. SES programs are currently offered in 15 states and 75 districts large and small, including New York, Boston, Miami and Chicago.
JOB SUMMARY: The Director, Web Marketing serves as project manager for website creation, development and implementation in coordination with team launching Learning Management System (LMS) and Learning Content Management System (LCMS) initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Serve as project lead for www.princetonreview.com and its strategic and long range goals. Create TPR’s strategic and long range web site and e-commerce goals and drive web release strategy
- Develop, manage, and execute website release process (i.e., development, quality assurance and deployment) in coordination with launch of LMS and LCMS systems
- Lead and coordinate requirements gathering and deployment of website in coordination with team launching LMS and LCMS systems and functionality upgrades on behalf of various internal stakeholder groups namely - National Marketing, Operations, Product, and Content teams.
- Create and enforce website style guide, conforming to TPR's brand standards.
- Lead and manage TPR’s online marketing initiatives, including online advertising, SEM, affiliate partnerships, social media, etc.
- Develop online strategy and execute tactics to support promotion activities (e.g., new products, discounted price offers, book launches, etc.)
- Manage search engine marketing (SEM), including both paid search (PPC) and natural search (SEO), as well as other online marketing strategies to drive website traffic and course enrollment conversion
- Define and execute TPR's social media strategy to improve website traffic and enrollment conversion
- Develop ROI web metrics initiatives and leverage analytical tools to optimize conversion funnels, lead tracking, and customer acquisition.
- Performs routine web traffic analysis to refine website and online tactical
- Reports online metrics regularly to management team.
- Operate as website super-user throughout project and for LMS and LCMS dedicated resources
- Lead training initiatives for website, Google Analytics and Ektron in coordination with team launching LMS and LCMS initiatives
- Serve as system advocate during and after project
- Bachelor degree required
- 5 to 8 years of online marketing experience, specifically, website management, SEM, online advertising, social media
- Extensive knowledge of content management systems and ecommerce engines
- Entrepreneurial and business oriented; capable of driving results with limited resources
- Exceptional strategic thinking, collaboration and leadership skills.
- Experience in using Google Analytics (or similar web metric tool)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills a must
- Ability to work in a project based environment and within a collaborative team environment
