As the Web Producer your responsibilities include the following :
Produce and maintain web content, pages and sites for scholastic intranet and scholastic.com
Serve as technical resource to corporate communications team in planning and executing web strategies
Serve as technical resource to business clients in planning and developing new content, sites and web-based communications
Required Skills
In-depth expertise in web development and development
Working knowledge of information architecture and semantic design
Must be adept in:
.html coding and page design
.css development
Flash development and production
Photoshop/image processing and development
Site structure and architecture
Must be able to use and work with various software packages and applications that support the work of the Intranet and scholastic.com including but not limited to:
Adobe web production suite: DreamWeaver, Flash, PhotoShop, Acrobat, whether on a Mac or PC, etc.
Must be able to learn and work with:
TeamSite content management system
WebEvent calendar software
WebBoard threaded discussion group software
Perseus Survey Solutions
Opinio survey
Omniture
Knowledge of Drupal and/or other open source applications a plus
