MULTIMEDIA JOURNALIST

13 WMAZ is currently accepting applications for a full time Multimedia Journalist in the 13 WMAZ Information Center. Duties include: general assignment reporting and field videography.

Minimum qualifications include:

•  Strong writing and storytelling skills, command of the English language and a strong interest in current affairs.
• Curiosity and a passion to learn.
• One year of professional TV news experience or 4-year college degree with TV news experience at student level.
• Ability to write news stories and shoot and edit compelling news video under constant deadlines for Web, TV and Mobile. Preference given to applicants who have experience with Avid Newscutter video editing system.
• Ability to operate a computer.

Working knowledge of graphic publishing and design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Dreamweaver is a plus.
