Classified Account Relationship Specialist

Description The News-Leader Media Group, a Gannett company, is seeking an individual to hire as Classified Account Relationship Specialist. This position will achieve monthly and annual revenue goals through selling advertising to and servicing local businesses, in collaboration with Classified Account Executives.  Will be responsible for developing new business and growing existing business through inside sales calls by using a variety of sales programs and newspaper products.

Requirements A minimum of one year of sales experience and dealing with the public are required. Other related sales experience and training courses in sales are desirable. Print/media experience is preferred. College degree preferred. The applicant must have the ability to grasp newspaper procedures and terminology. Must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills required. This includes time management and administrative responsibilities accordingly. Artistic and creative ability will be needed. Must be able to work independently, make sound business decisions related to achieving revenue goals. Requires the ability to work under deadlines and sales pressure. Must be able to influence/persuade clients and overcome objections. Basic computer (Word and Excel) and math skills required.
