Jr. Developer/Analyst

Intersection’s Production Management group is seeking an individual to join the team in a developer and Analyst role.  The primary functions of this position will be:

·          To manage and automate existing file transfer processes using an automated file transfer software (Messageway)

·          To manage configuration of and develop processes to cleanse address data using Group1’s Customer Data Quality Platform.

In addition to managing the implementation and configuration of these core processes, the developer will be responsible for troubleshooting production issues and identifying ways to improve existing processes. 

• Overall ownership of the automated file transfer tool (MessageWay) including data structure, new file additions, configuration, reporting and troubleshooting
• Build/configure/develop/test/implement an automated file transfer process using industry software
• Via MessageWay, assist in managing the delivery and synchronization of monthly fulfillment data at both on and offsite locations
• Cleanse data using the Customer Data Quality Platform (CDQP)
• Maintain configurations and become subject matter expert on Group 1 CDQP address tools.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of working production environments
• Research events that fail and provide escalation to proper parties for resolution
• Develop detailed understanding of Intersections' business and data workflow and assist in continuous improvement and prioritization enhancements
• Other duties as assigned by the Production Management Manager

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
• 3 – 5 years SQL experience
• 3 – 5 years data analysis experience
• Understanding of relational database concepts
• Understanding of networking concepts including file transfers
• Window Batch Scripting – Required
• PERL Scripting – Recommended
• Basic UNIX – Recommended
• Experience with Group1’s Customer Data Quality Platform (CDQP)
• Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize a must
• Excellent troubleshooting/analytical skills
• Proficiency in MS Office suite
• Process definition and documentation experience
• Project life cycle experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
