Job Description

 


 
 Medical Billing and Coding Instructor  

 

Responsibilities:


  • Maintain a full time teaching load of between 28-30 hours
  • Plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/outline provided to assure that course content and objectives are met.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate student’s learning styles.
  • Design, administer and grade examinations to assess achievement of the course objectives as identified in the syllabus.
  • Be available to advise students (office hours), tutor and provide other assistance as needed.
  • Work with the Program Director to resolve student concerns.
  • Actively work to maintain retention in all classes.
  • Attend regularly scheduled program meetings, faculty in-service workshops and faculty meetings.



Job Requirements

 
  Medical Billing and Coding Instructor

 
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
 
  • Worked in the coding or medical front office environment for 10 years or more.

  • Documented expertise in academic subject area and expertise in interpersonal and oral presentations/written communication skills, as demonstrated by diplomas, degrees, transcripts and/or certifications.
