Currently over 2.3 million prescriptions are filled on a yearly basis from our centrally located pharmacy. The integration of a sophisticated pharmacy management system with the automated fulfillment platform allows our clinical team to work in a near paperless environment, and enables the pharmacy division to complete in excess of 9,000 prescriptions daily. Key technologies embedded in the automated platform include advanced counting devices along with product verification equipment that are unique in design within the industry. RxCrossroads™ is able to segregate clients’ inventories and product shipments. Program activity is reported through our web-based reporting solutions.

Summary of Purpose: Assists the pharmacist in daily activities of dispensing medications and general operations of the pharmacy department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Enters prescription details in patient profile, selects correct medication, selects correct supplies and educational materials, places checked prescriptions in a shipping container per medication specifications, all under the direct supervision of a pharmacist (non-certified tech) or immediate supervision of pharmacist (certified tech)
• Checks and restocks supplies
• Works with the reimbursement department to fulfill all orders in a timely basis
• Communicates with patients
• Accepts inventory shipments from pharmaceutical companies and suppliers
• Enters inventory into pharmacy software, conducts monthly physical inventory counts
• Certified technicians call for refills and accept refill orders via telephone
• Contact patients monthly to schedule the next monthly shipment
• Track packages shipped via courier to ensure delivery; resolve delivery issues as needed
Other Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager.
Internal/External Contact: Must be able to communicate with internal customers such as all levels of management and staff. Must be able to communicate with external customers such as patients, doctor’s offices, and insurance companies.
