POSITION SUMMARY
Compliance is seeking an experienced professional to join the Regulatory Compliance Unit. In this varied and interesting role, the Compliance Director will independently manage market conduct examinations and coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries; maintain effective relationships with regulators; create and oversee implementation of corrective action plans and lead national and local compliance activities. The Director will uphold and enforce Aetna s Code of Conduct.
Required skills and experience include strong commitment to acting with integrity and to the Aetna Way; superior verbal and written communication skills; excellent organizational and project management skills and persistence in achieving goals. A Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of experience in a compliance/law oriented position is preferred.
Preferred is experience in independently managing market conduct exams or similar audits; an understanding of the Company s goals and business operations; knowledge of the Company s systems, and understanding and applying laws and regulations to our business.

The ideal candidate will be located in the Walnut Creek office; however qualified candidates from other locations will be considered. Travel to locations where regulatory exams are being held will be required.
