We provide logistics and contingency support to the United States military around the world. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, we put that experience to work. In St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, we provide vital temporary infrastructure to help keep the parish government and Sheriff’s Department functioning. We also helped provide temporary housing in Iowa for persons displaced by flooding in the Midwest in 2008.

Job Description 

Summary of the Classification:

Under broad directions, responsible for supervising the installation, maintenance and administration of the Voice Radio, Satellite and Data Communication systems.

Principal Responsibilities:

 Provides technical support for a variety of hardware and/or software applications, including maintenance and update
 Ensures execution and conformity with company policy and procedures associated with hardware and software use
 Administer communication networks including the set up of voice, radio, data network and satellite systems
 Controls the physical inventory of the respective Communication Software and hardware equipment
 Allocates and monitors work, coordinates similar activities within a functional area
 Interprets and applies directions originating at a higher level
 Job role has budgetary type of accountabilities, or directly impacts a revenue center�s viability and/or its quality of service via personal contributions
 Supervises others

Education Required:

Bachelor�s degree in IT/Telecommunications discipline. Two (2) years of experience in related field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college.

Experience Required:

Typically, six (6) to eight (8) years of experience in electronics which includes experience in telecommunications.

Special Knowledge/Skills Required:

� Proficient in Microsoft office software applications
� Excellent people skills
� Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
� Ability to translate communication needs of employees/customers not versed in computer terminology for both hardware and software into meaningful solutions
