Job Description
The Principal Consultant in the System Solutions Group provides consulting services and training for Deltek clients using the Costpoint suite of applications. This position also will involve participation in task team activities when large complex technical issues are identified.This position is a client facing role that would require nationwide or regional travel to be at the client site. Amount of Travel depends on where you are located. Please note that this position does not require relocation, because you will be at client sites for the majority of your week.Primary Duties:This position will work with a variety of internal organizations, levels of management and external clients. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical skills that traverse across the following areas; ERP applications, Enterprise Class Servers and Storage, Network Protocols, LAN & Wan Configuration, Performance Monitoring & Trouble shooting Tools & Methodologies, Database Conversion and Administration for Oracle & SQL, Oracle & SQL Tuning.Candidate Must Possess:
  • Minimum of Ten (10) years of technical consulting.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate up and across all layers of a organization.
  • Experience with server and application sizing, capacity planning and tuning for performance and scalability.
  • Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery requirements and solutions.
  • Database administration using Oracle 91, 10g and 11i.
  • Oracle database experience on Intel Solaris, SPARC and Intel Linux Redhat.
  • Oracle application server experience on Intel Linux Redhat Advanced Server.
  • Understanding of Microsoft SQL Server (2000, 2005, 2008) configuration
  • Experience with .NET and Active Directory.
  • Understanding of Windows Server (NT, 2000, 2003, 2008) configuration.
  • Experience with exchange Server (2000, 2003, 2007).
  • IIS Web Server (5.0, 6.0, 7.0) configuration experience.
  • Expert with Windows networking with mixed environment clients (Windows OS, Mac OSX, Linux), Windows OS (2000, XP, Vista), Microsoft Office (2000, XP, 2003, 2007).
  • Experience troubleshooting Database and ERP application issues.
  • Experience with (Oracle, SAP, Peoplsoft, Lawson, JDEdwards, Baan, etc) desirable but not required.
