Job Description
Category:  Medical & Health - General

Based out of an assigned department the Registered Nurse provides professional skilled age specific nursing care for patients in collaboration with the physician and other disciplines. Performs all aspects of patient care, including but not limited to: patient assessment, medication administration, identifying nursing problems, plans care, provides or delegates care according to MIHS policies, functions as a client advocate and educator, completes and processes all required documentation, supervises ancillary personnel as directed, participates in team building and quality improvement activities. The position demonstrates the professional skills and behaviors to promote comprehensive, cost effective, and meaningful healthcare for consumers in a diverse healthcare environment.   Qualifications:   Requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing, preferably BSN. Prefer at least one year (1) year of hospital based experience as an RN within assigned department for which approved competencies must be demonstrated. Must posses a current, valid Arizona RN license and be in good standing with the AZ Board of Nursing. Must have BLS. Certifications such as ACLS, PALS, ATNC, etc. may be required for some departments. Must be able to meet the conditions as stated in the employment agreement. Ability to work with culturally diverse people is a must. Bilingual is preferred.  Must have excellent communication, time management and customer service skills.  Computer knowledge with DOS and windows based systems is a plus. Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.   Pool Rate - $38.00 per hour   ~CB~
