Wawa is a recognized leader in our industry, and we are looking for the best and brightest to be a part of our team. We are currently seeking an Assistant Retail Operations Manager to join our Retail Operations team.

Job Responsibilities

As an Assistant Retail Operations Manager, you support the General Manager in the management of the entire retail store operations.

Additional responsibilities of the Assistant Retail Operations Manager include:

  • Meeting and/or exceeding performance and profit goals according to corporate objectives which include, but are not limited to, assisting in the selection, development and training management and hourly associates
  • Supervising the day-to-day task assignment and managing performance of Customer Service Associates
  • Overseeing cash management procedures; monitoring and analyzing reports relating to Loss Prevention and reports trends to the General Manager
  • Ensuring accuracy of weekly payroll, which includes the proper editing of timecards when necessary, using the appropriate charge codes and weekly submission
  • Obtaining designated competitors’ fuel prices, accurately entering this information within the required time frame and updating prices when required
  • Responding in a timely manner to any product recall and follow established processes
  • Ensuring accurate stock levels by performing precise cycle counts and monitoring ordering of product and supplies with a computer and/or handheld device
  • Controlling inventory level by checking in all external vendors (by using a handheld device) and ensuring the delivery is accurate

Job Requirements

To qualify for the Assistant Retail Operations Manager, you must have strong interpersonal and effective communication skills while being customer service oriented.

Additional requirements of the Assistant Retail Operations Manager include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related discipline, preferred
  • Leadership experience in a fast-paced retail, food service, or fuel environment
  • Availability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays, based on business needs
  • Experience, skills and abilities consistent with the current Wawa Core and Leadership competencies
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for this position
