Research in cardiovascular disease, oncology, infectious disease, diabetes, ophthalmology and muscle disease is headquartered in Cambridge. In addition, Cambridge is home to the following platform technologies: Global Discovery Chemistry, Functional Genomics, Developmental & Molecular Pathways, and Models of Disease Center.

Health Care
NIBRI offers a comprehensive selection of health plans ranging from traditional indemnity to point-of-service to HMOs at low cost. None of our medical plans have pre-existing exclusion clauses. They fall into three categories:
• Point of Service or POS (managed care option that requires a primary care provider to manage care)
• Preferred Provider or PPO (managed care option that does not require a primary care provider)
• Consumer Driven (NIBRI allocates a specific amount to a health savings account and the employee decides how to spend healthcare dollars)
NIBRI also offers:
• Dental Plans: Employees have a choice between a managed care option or a preferred provider option
• Vision Service Plan (network plan with out-of-network reimbursement)
