There is one hospital well regarded in the community and consistently recognized for patient satisfaction that can offer just this.  They are looking for one Physical Therapist to join their well-established and large rehab team.  This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates, or for seasoned therapists looking to take on mentoring/student supervision. The PT will be responsible for:
 

  • working with Inpatient acute rehab adult patient populations.  The Physical Therapist should be excellent at identifying underlying problems and developing rationale treatment plans.
  • The therapist will have the opportunity to rotate through various units, including mixed neuro, MS, Parkinsons, Oncology, Cardio, Telemetry, Stroke/BI, Spinal Cord, and Amputee.
  • Physical Therapist will be paired with senior mentor who will help transition through each rotation and develop clinical competencies and critical thinking skills.
  • The PT will be responsible for partnering with multiple disciplines, including physiatrists, physical and occupational therapists, speech langage pathologis, neuropsychologists, nurses, dietitians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and social workers.  
  • PT should participate in continuing education, in-service training, and program development when necessary.   There is a strong emphasis on professional development and advancement.  Organization has an unmatched career ladder with opportunities to earn monetary bonuses for advancement or maintaining status at a particular level.  Advancement is reasonable (ie, no mandated research) and is typically achieved through in-servicing, seminar/conferences, etc.
  • ...but most of all, the Physical Therapist will be expected to have fun with this dynamic and patient-focused team!


This is a permanent position, with full-time employment preferred; however, there is some flexibility around part-time / mothers hours.    There is one Saturday or Sunday requirement per month in which therapists may elect either pay at the per diem rate or a comp day off the following/previous week.
