National Interstate Insurance Company wants you to add your vision and drive to our team!  We’re currently seeking an Agency Support Representative in our Northeast OH Corporate Headquarters.

Summary

The enthusiastic Agency Support Representative will provide excellent customer service to prospective and existing policyholders of a specialty insurance agency.

Main responsibilities include:

• Communicate with customers through incoming phone calls and emails
• Administers correspondences as needed to maintain proper information for accounts, customer files, pending renewals, and endorsements
• Identify opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell existing customers
• Generate quotes on behalf of agents
• Assist with the distribution of direct mailers and newsletters
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications we’re looking for:

• High school graduate, GED, or equivalent
• Ohio Property and Casualty License preferred, or required to be obtained in the first 90 days of employment once hired
• Related customer service, data entry, and account maintenance experience in an office environment required
• Possess excellent communication and customer service skills, particularly for phone contact
• Must be able to work from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm
• Being bilingual is a plus
• Knowledge of boats and RVs is a plus
• Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence
• Capability to read, analyze, and interpret insurance contracts, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
• Competence in effectively presenting information and responding to questions from customers and management
• PC skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database utilization
