Description:
PrideStaff, a national leader in the staffing industry, is looking for medical
collections associates.
Basic Function:
Employee is responsible for all collection activities necessary to recover bad
debts. Includes billing and collecting. Communicates with any appropriate
party necessary to resolve outstanding accounts. Interprets and applies
compliance guidelines to maintain billing integrity. Keeps manager apprised
on all significant issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of One year of third party collections experience is preferred.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills to include the
ability to understand both written and oral instructions.
- Must possess the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
and a high degree of flexibility.
- Must have basic knowledge of medical terminology and personal computers.
- Must be computer literate; ability to work in multiple applications.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Employee is responsible for a thorough understanding of the Fair Debt Collection
Act and any other State guidelines regulating appropriate collection activity.
Regulations can be very intricate and ambiguous. Accurate interpretations of
these regulations are an essential job requirement to avoid potential penalties.

might cause substantial confusion or delays in processes.

copier and fax

I. Moderate level of activity, clerical and /or light physical work. Work is fairly
active but a portion of the time is spent at a desk . Involves occasional lifting
(15lbs.), considerable walking, some bending, stooping, and squatting. Employee
should be capable of light labor.
