About Us
Indian Rivers is a comprehensive mental health center; 100% of our services are devoted to providing mental health prevention and treatment to the citizen's of Bibb, Pickens, and Tuscaloosa counties.
Our Mental Illness division provides an array of residential services ranging from a short term crisis residential unit to supported apartment living. Our current residential capacity is 73 community based beds. We provide outpatient services such as psychotherapy and psychiatric care in locations across our service area. We provide case management and skills training service to those's working toward recovery but continue to require supports to maintain independent living status within the community. We also provide crisis intervention service available 24 hours, 7 days per week for those in psychiatric crisis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Serve as the primary QMRP for designated individuals.
2. Develop policies and procedures for programs as needed and ensure all are applicable to both state and federal program requirements.
3. Screen new consumers for admission. Sign all Medicaid waiver paperwork.
4. Write the Individual Service Plan (ISP). Develop Behavior Management Plans.
5. Ensure revisions in training and programs are made and documented if consumer shows no progress in three (3) months.
6. Monitor collection of training data.
7. Mediate disputes between consumers and handle emergencies appropriately.
8. Assist in the development and expansion of services for persons with intellectual disabilities.
9. Make recommendations regarding consumer discharge.
10. Ensure cost effectiveness/fiscal responsibility by providing budget input and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
11. Advise MR Director regarding programmatic and clinical issues.
12. Provide all necessary data as required by the center and the state.
13. Provide consultation/evaluation services to staff and general public as assigned.
14. Maintain consumer and program records and serve as lead staff to organize and ensure compliance during federal and/or state reviews.
15. Provide in-service training for staff on specific job skills and appropriate behaviors needed for success on the job.
16. Provide administrative assistance to the MR Director as assigned.
17. Develop and implement a monitoring system for MR programs and sub-contractors.
18. Develop and maintain an up-to-date profile of the skill level of each person.
