Position Overview
Our client is wanting to hire a full time Program Manager for their PMO offices in Orange County, CA. This is a hospital client, and would like to hire a resource who has extensive experience working either in a hospital or for a consulting firm with extensive healthcare client experience. This is a highly visible role, so it is critical that this person be motivated by the opportunity to leave an imprint on how clinical projects are managed at this organization.
Job Duties for the Program Manager
As the Program Manager leading all clinical projects in the PMO, the primary responsibility will be to ensure appropriate staffing of all portfolio projects ensuring correct skill set matches for each project. This person will also ensure proper project management methodology is used along with controls for financials. They will review each phase of each project, suggesting improvements either through processes or more tactical issues, and must be able to leverage a strong PMO background in a clinical IT setting.
The Program Manager will lead a team comprised of Project Managers and Business Analysts and provide leadership, guidance, mentoring for the team as well as a route of escalation for project, program and operational risks and issues.
They will also be the person to drive communications with leadership and various project and program stakeholders to facilitate program definition, strategy, direction and status as well as partner with business and clinical leaders to achieve the goals of the hospital.

To be considered, you must have four or more years experience working in a hospital or healthcare consulting PMO. You must have a strong project management methodology background (PMP Certification highly desired but not required), and you must have prior experience working with Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM). Other Eclipsys product experience is desired but not required.
