Patient Account Representative
(MON-FRI 10:30AM TO 7:00PM)
We need a Patient Account Rep. to troubleshoot case issues and manage resolution to completion. Act as a patient advocate by providing information and education on health insurance benefits, insurance billing, and the reimbursement process to our customers.
Responsibilities:
*Answer incoming telephone and e-mail inquiries.
*Complete Case Manager Worklist tasks assigned.
*Review case history and insurance notes to provide information and / or determine next steps needed on the case.
*Call insurance companies and/or physicians to obtain information or provide information needed to resolve case issues.
*Follow-up on open inquiries and unresolved case issues.
*Communicate the results of a benefit investigation to patients and physicians as needed.
*Pre-qualify patients for the financial assistance program and explain payment options when needed.
*Initiate appeals or patient billing process when needed.
*Report all insurance company trend changes to the Reimbursement Manager and Account Executive.
*Participate in team meetings by sharing the details of cases worked.
