Job Description:
+Lead and direct design and development engineering on assigned programs from concept to production. Provide engineering support and technical assistance to all Engineering customers, both internal and external.
+Assist in resolving multiple complex engineering problems simultaneously in a multiple team environment.
+Work together with team members to develop capable, cost effective manufacturing and assembly processes concurrent to product design activities (i.e. DFMA) to insure robust designs are delivered
+Interact with Marketing, Sales, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Designers, Purchasing, and suppliers to meet the specifications and needs of the customer in the development of new, reliable products for the market
+Develop, lead, and actively participate in the Design Review process for new products
+Continuously improve the processes, skills, team environment and tools necessary to achieve Moen???s product leadership strategy
+Develop and identify substantial intellectual property claims for Moen while working with project teams.
+Primary products to include those in the Canadian Commercial Portfolio (faucets, shower components, & flush valves).
+Proactively compile, prepare and present data for timely project updates and technical presentations to staff and/or senior management

Job Requirements:
+B.S. Degree in Engineering or the basic sciences
+Advanced degree in Engineering or the basic sciences preferred
+Excellent written and verbal communication skills for dealing with all levels of staff, customers, suppliers, and operations.
+Minimum 5 years applicable experience with significant manufacturing exposure, with 3 years minimum in Product Development.
+Ability to effectively work with suppliers from different cultures/countries.
+Experience in cross-functional product development team
+Successful track record in fast paced, speed to market environment

Candidate must be proficient in the following areas:
+Demonstrated record of Advanced Failure Analysis and scientific problem solving
+FEA, FMEA, DOE, QFD, and DFMA
+Use of engineering principles. i.e. fluid, mechanical and thermal
+Interpretation of statistics related to manufacturing processes and part design
+Fluent in the use of 3-D CAD (Preferably Pro/Engineer) and PC???s
+Geometric dimensioning and tolerances
+Analysis of component/assembly tolerance stack-up???s
+Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) experience preferred
Demonstrated success managing work of multiple projects concurrently
+Ability and willingness to travel up to approximately 15% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
+Understanding of marketing techniques of consumer durable goods
