Founded in 1982, Carolina Office Systems encompasses the Carolinas region operating in five key markets:

What’s in a business partner? - We understand that your business is in operating your core business. And anything detracting from that focus is a slippery slope. Our core business is imaging – the documents that are your company’s life blood – invoices, sales proposals, contracts, employee files … and the list goes. History
Carolina Office Systems was formed in 2005 when Atlantic Business Systems, Kosi Office Systems and Copy Service and Supply joined forces to cover the technology needs of North and South Carolina.

COS Charleston, SC
COS Charleston, SC was founded in 1976 as a typewriter and Savin copier dealership. The company moved into the short-lived market of Word Processing but never forgot its copier beginnings. We rode the waves of the Savin phenomenon by outselling Xerox four to one. With the unprecedented growth, this South Carolina low-country company expanded its horizons and opened up a branch office in North Carolina doubling its revenue.

Five years later, COS Charleston split the branches and NC was sold off between the two owners. Currently a Konica-Minolta digital printer/copier and Muratec fax authorized dealer, we concentrate on the Charleston market place and surrounding low country of South Carolina. We have a crew of highly capable employees experienced in the ways of a dealership contributing each and every day. It’s these dedicated employees that keep COS Charleston strong and can take credit for its longevity.

COS Columbia, SC
COS Columbia was an independent Konica dealer for only five-years prior to being acquired but have a long time relationship with customers of Columbia and the midlands of South Carolina. Our beginnings were as a direct branch of Royal Office Machines. As Royal morphed into Litton Industries in 1974, Triumph-Adler in 1981 and then in 1986 to Konica, the Columbia office was annually recognized as one of its top national performers. We promoted Royal typewriters, analog copiers, the move into the digital world, full color and scanning to email. COS Columbia is continuing to serve the capital city customers in service by celebrating over thirty-eight years in business.

COS Columbia also boasts a high level of tenure that just isn’t found in corporate America these days. We have added additional sales reps and technicians since the acquisition but the core service team still averages over 22 years experience. Not to be outdone, our Administrative associates average 20 years tenure and are backed by experienced management, working in Columbia since 1987, and senior sales representatives, with 24 years with the company. You can’t put a price tag on this kind of experience. What makes for a long life in this business? Take care of each customer as if they are the only one we have.

COS South Carolina
Copy Service and Supply and Global Imaging came in to South Carolina to run the newly acquired companies in 2001 and have been able to combine functions from dispatch to service management, inventory and billing. Those functions that “touch” the customer and daily decision-making regarding customer care are still local decisions. This makes for a smooth running operation housed in two cities that are as different as their histories. COS Columbia covers the midlands and COS Charleston hugs the coast. South Carolina received Global Imaging System’s highest honor for satellite offices by receiving the coveted Founder’s Trophy in 2003. Our secret? It’s our people and our customers. The South Carolina offices continue to concentrate on customer care and continue to perform. Now as Carolina Office Systems partners with our North Carolina offices, the future looks even brighter.
