We purchase all branded and generic pharmaceuticals only directly from the product’s manufacturer, except in the rare instance that we are required to do otherwise either by the manufacturer or a government agency.

AmerisourceBergen was formed in 2001 following the merger of AmeriSource Health Corporation and Bergen Brunswig Corporation. AmeriSource and Bergen were both successful pharmaceutical distributors that served similar markets but covered somewhat different geographies. Bringing the two together gave the company a strong national presence that was geared especially towards serving independent community pharmacies, regional retail chain pharmacies, hospitals, physician offices, clinics and other alternate care facilities.

Today, AmerisourceBergen has 26 pharmaceutical distribution centers in the US, nine distribution centers in Canada, four specialty distribution centers in the US, and over 1 million square feet of packaging production capacity in the US and the UK.

AmerisourceBergen's service solutions range from pharmacy automation and pharmaceutical packaging to reimbursement and pharmaceutical consulting services. We have nearly 10,000 associates dedicated to providing services to reduce costs and improve patient outcomes.

AmerisourceBergen Drug Corporation is one of the largest pharmaceutical wholesalers in North America, distributing pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and health & beauty care products to hospitals, chain stores, and independent retail pharmacies throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada. ABDC creates value for healthcare providers, manufacturers and shareholders by efficiently delivering products and innovative solutions that improve the quality of human life. AmerisourceBergen Consulting Services (ABCS) AmerisourceBergen Consulting Services partners with manufacturers to prove product value and expand market access. ABCS offers unparalleled commercialization support by integrating outcomes research, health policy analysis, managed markets agency services, reimbursement strategy, contract field staffing and patient education and provider support programs. The group also has packaging services including clinical trial services for manufacturers, and a wide variety of specialized packaging designed to induce patient compliance and adherence.
