| Android User Interface Software Engineer |
|
Yoh IT has a direct hire opening for an Android User Interface Software Engineer to join our customer in Sunnyvale, CA.
Job Duties:
- Work as a part of the Android engineering team, focusing on the Google Android UI framework, delivering rich user experiences to the customer's Android phones. The team is focused on extending and adding rich enhancements to the Android-UI across several products. This person will be provided an opportunity to make imprint on their product.
- Work directly on Google Android framework, for the customer's phones.
- Contribute to the core architecture, defining the next generation user interfaces for future smartphones.
- Responsible for adding cool new features, enabling rich & complex application development.
- Collaborate closely with the UI graphic designers, and application engineers to develop framework components enabling rich user experiences.
- Develop in-depth expertise across multiple areas in the framework
- Define and add new features working with product managers, and have direct interaction with QA team members.
- Passion for enhancing the mobile user experience
- Experience with advanced data structures and designing API interface to clients
- Strong knowledge of C++ or Java is required
- (7 years of Java/C++ experience, with a focus on UI)
- Experience with other mobile platforms (Iphone, RIM, Symbian, WindowsMobile etc) is a plus and of course Android would be ideal.
- Linux or Unix background preferred.
- Good knowledge of various UI frameworks (Qt, Swing, YUI, Dojo, and Brew) is a plus.
- Working experience on implementation of UI frameworks, UI toolkit, widgets, graphics engine, multimedia components, etc would be great.
- We are looking for someone who takes pride in ownership for full software development life cycle.
- Person should be highly adaptable and has a track record of working well in highly collaborative environment.
- Self motivated, and be able to work independently in a fast paced environment
- Highly skilled ability to solve analytical problems
- Ability to meet deliverables without sacrificing quality.
